Parenting REsponsbility Evaluations
During a parenting responsibility evaluation, you and the other parent will be asked to participate in interviews, psychological testing, and possibly home visits. The evaluator may also speak with your child and observe interactions between you and the other parent.

Being open and honest during these evaluations is important, as any attempts to deceive or manipulate the process can have serious (perhaps not permanent) consequences for your case. I will look for signs of cooperation, communication, and the ability to prioritize the child’s needs above personal conflicts.

The evaluation process can take several months to complete, depending on the complexity of the circumstances and the availability of all parties involved. It may also involve reviewing relevant documents such as court records, prior evaluations, or psychological reports.

After the evaluation, a report with the findings and recommendations for custody arrangements is submitted to the court. This report can play a significant role in the court's final decision, so it is important that you take the process seriously and fully participate.

Remember, the ultimate goal of these evaluations is to evaluate what is in the child's best interest, so it is important to approach them with a cooperative and child-centered attitude. e prepared to work together with the other parent and the evaluator for the sake of your child’s well-being.
